PHC-Hub - Immunization Interoperability
PHC-Hub Product Suite Meets Emerging Interoperability and Meaningful Use Guidelines for Immunization Information Exchange.
The STC Public Health Connection Hub, PHC-Hub, is a suite of tools that provides the required functionality and management of HL7 messages (2.3.1 and 2.5). PHC-Hub, combined with STC’s Stand Alone Forecaster (SAF), provide a powerful, comprehensive, and easy-to-use solution to manage and assist both state immunization information systems (IIS) and Health Information Exchanges (HIE) in satisfying their Meaningful Use Providers’ interoperability criteria.
Key tools in the PHC-Hub Product Suite include:
- Data Quality Trend Validation: Allows a user to view variations from past HL7 messages or all HL7 messages within a batch.
- Message Auditing: Provides archiving and auditing for all incoming HL7 messages for later review.
- Provider Data Quality Profile Manager: Provides the capability to create and manage individual data quality profiles for each submitting provider organization. Profiles can be created and modified to support the unique data quality of each individual provider organization. Supports sharing of profiles between providers and the creating templates for use by all providers of a certain type (for example, pediatric facilities).
- Error Management Utility: Allows a user to "drill down" to look at individual errors, including the fields that were contained in the message with the error.
- HL7 Message Validator: Provides the necessary tools to evaluate and validate incoming HL7 messages:
- HL7 Message Constructor: creates test HL7 messages based on a user entering the data to have included in the message.
- HL7 Message Deconstructor: allows a user to paste in an HL7 message to see how the parser splits the message up into fields.
- HL7 Import Attestation Tool: Receives HL7 file; conducts limited HL7 syntax validation; sends acknowledgement back to provider organization; provides reports on attestation milestones each electronic interface reached; does not submit data to production until verified.
- Interface Status Manager: Organizes, manages, and communicates the status of provider interfaces; allows registry administrators with access to set up each provider organization interface and track up-to-the minute status; sends email updates when status changes; provides reports by individual provider organization, by state, or by vendor.
