Senator Debbie McCune Davis has successfully moved the "Adult Immunization Information System" bill through hearings in both the "Committee on Health" and the "Committee on Government". Senator McCune Davis was supported in these sessions with testimony provided by both ADHS and STC representatives. Buzz Conn from STC addressed the committee hearing on Tuesday, April 1st. Buzz explained how other states are using the STC immunization management system in tracking adult immunizations. He was also present to lend support at the second committee hearing on April 9. The bill moved out of both committees on unanimous votes and now goes on to the House and Senate. At this point, it looks quite likely that this revision to the original Arizona legislation will be signed into law and allow adult immunization records in ASIIS.
